Service
Eskal Zinc LLC offers high-quality hot-dip galvanizing services in Uzhhorod (Zakarpattia region). The new plant is equipped with a production line with baths that allow galvanizing metal structures up to 7 meters long and with a capacity of 2000 tons per month.
We can galvanize:
– metal structures and metal buildings;
– power line poles (including high-voltage ones), mobile operator poles and antenna poles
– building metal structures, television and radio broadcasting masts and towers;
– lighting and searchlight poles, automotive parts, road fences and signs;
– steel round and shaped pipes, corrugated sheets;
– pipeline parts and hardware.
Hot-dip galvanizing is the simplest and most cost-effective method of corrosion protection. Galvanizing extends the lifespan of metal structures by 50-70 years. Zinc coating is unique in that it provides not only a barrier protection but also electrochemical protection against corrosion.
The corrosion resistance of hot-dip galvanized coatings is 5-7 times greater than that of electroplated fasteners and approaches the resistance of stainless steel.
The coating self-repairs on damaged areas.
The coating is more resistant to chipping compared to polymer paint coatings with similar corrosion resistance.
During hot-dip galvanizing, the steel item is completely immersed in a bath of molten zinc. The bath contains at least 98% pure zinc and is maintained at a temperature of about 449°C.
The molten zinc reacts with the iron in the steel to form a series of layers of zinc-iron intermetallic compounds. When the coating reaches the desired thickness, the items are slowly removed from the galvanizing bath, and excess zinc is removed by drainage, vibration, or processing in a specialized centrifuge.
The metallurgical reaction continues as long as the item remains at a temperature close to that of the bath. The items are then cooled either by immersion in a passivating solution or water, or they are left to cool in the open air.

To ensure a good result from the service, we focus on the following parameters:
– Quality of the zinc
– Quality of the steel
– Temperature of the molten zinc
– Immersion and extraction time
– Duration of immersion
– Cooling process
Hot-dip galvanizing can extend corrosion protection for up to 50-70 years, providing both barrier and electrochemical protection against corrosion.
There is no need for this, as the galvanized coating self-repairs on damaged areas, eliminating the need for repainting.
